LFD’s machine shop division is acquiring a new 5-axis CNC machining centre. This will greatly enhance its machining capabilities, and follows the recent acquisition of a new fully automated coordinate measuring machine, shown here.
LFD has developed a new LED based tri-mode (white, red, IR) anti-collision light for fixed wing aircraft.
Due to the ongoing success in developing new products and overseas sales opportunities LFD has relocated to larger premises at Zenith House, Lederle Lane, Gosport, PO13 0FZ.
The new facility combines the two previous locations at Gosport and Segensworth into one large building, including an enlarged electronic production facility, a repair facility and a machine shop.
LFD is in the process of gaining EASA certification.
This will include Part 21 compliance with both Sub-Part O for Design Organisation Approval and Sub-Part G for Production Organisation Approval.
LFD has extended the scope of its AS9100 certification to include the Repair function.
Its certification has also been revalidated to cover its relocation to the new site at Zenith House, Gosport.
LFD has developed a new programmable, multi-output dimmer unit designed for aircraft cockpit instrument consoles fitted with LED backlit panels.
